Kitchen Remodel: Lean and Green

We want more space that is carefully planned to entertain our friends with lean meals, but we have limited resources to work with. And while we have an eye on saving the earth’s resources, our own, family finances are in a pinch. What can be done?

Natural light and views of nature from this space have great potential…

… prospects…
But at the moment, the original layout, which dates from 1948, breaks the space into nooks and crannies.
We are stuck in a rut, yearning to emulate the free-flowing river taunting from just below the dining room windows.
